Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Windows Administrator with a strong background in both on-premises and AWS EC2 environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of Windows servers hosted on physical infrastructure and cloud platforms. This role requires a proactive mindset and hands-on experience in automation, patching, performance tuning, and incident/problem management.

Key Responsibilities:

On-Premises Windows Administration:

Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).
Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, and key processes.
Handle patch management using WSUS or SCCM or SSM or any other native patching tool.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
Troubleshoot OS, application, and hardware issues on physical or virtual servers (VMware/Hyper-V).
Coordinate with network and storage teams for performance optimization and capacity planning.
Participate in DR drills and backup/recovery processes.

Cloud (AWS EC2) Windows Administration:

Provision, configure, and manage Windows EC2 instances in AWS.
Implement and manage cloud-native tools for monitoring, patching (SSM), and backup.
Patching Cloud EC2 servers using native tools and remediation of VIT's
Ensure security hardening of EC2 instances and compliance with security policies.
Configure IAM roles and policies to enforce least privilege access.
Support hybrid environments including site-to-site VPNs or Direct Connect.
