Job Summary:
We are hiring a Billing & Estimation Engineer with experience in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, project billing, and financial tracking. The candidate should be able to manage end-to-end estimation and billing activities for infrastructure or utility projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to understand scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather data for cost estimation.
- Analyze drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs to determine quantities and pricing.
- Conduct site visits to gather field data and assess site conditions for cost impact.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and indirect costs.
- Source and verify material and equipment prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify and incorporate project risks and contingencies into estimates.
- Create and maintain cost breakdowns, itemized budgets, and supporting documentation.
- Participate in bid review meetings, providing clarifications and presenting estimates.
- Coordinate with procurement for vendor and subcontractor evaluation and cost inputs.
- Develop and implement project-specific billing templates and processes.
- Track and monitor project costs and billing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise with clients to resolve billing discrepancies or clarifications.
- Maintain complete billing documentation per company standards and audit compliance.
- Generate financial and billing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously update estimates and costs based on project changes or site inputs.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all estimation and billing records.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in cost estimation, quantity take-off, and billing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project planning tools
- Good understanding of contractual billing processes
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to coordinate across teams and handle documentation efficiently
- Familiarity with ERP systems or billing/accounting tools
