Job Description
We are seeking to hire a Technical Architect in Microsoft technologies (.NET) for our software development center.
The Technical Architect should be a strong technical leader with extensive experience in the software industry, experience with the full software development life cycle and has led architectural effort of highly complex software systems.
- Be able to understand functional requirements and architect large, scalable, real time, distributed, highly-available, robust software systems.
- Involves with development of prototypes, refine and finalize the architecture and high level design of the software application.
- Set up architecture and design guidelines to enforce best practices across the projects and consult with other teams to share knowledge.
- Design and develop databases, data warehouses and multidimensional databases.
- Proactively solicit and maximally leverage the technical inputs for the entire product/project.
- Interact with customer and development team and guide the dev team to architect solution for entire application / project / product.
- Analyze and evaluate infrastructure and performance requirements (performance, scalability, security, extensibility, maintainability) of the client. Perceive and communicate Unstated customer requirements.
- Mentor and mange team members by giving constant on-job feedback, thought leadership and by defining team members career development plan.
- Be a strong technical leader with extensive experience in the software industry, experience with the full software development life cycle and has led architectural effort of highly complex software systems.
- Very proficient in Microsoft Technologies (.NET Framework, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, Web Services, SOA, AJAX, SQL Server, ADO.NET, MSMQ, Silverlight, WPF) with over 5 Years of development experience in .NET itself and over 8 Years of industry experience.
- Hands-on experience on the designing .NET web based products/ projects (tool based etc.), design pattern and practices (Smart Client, Singleton, MVC, Abstract Factory, Fac ade) and Microsoft and Third party frameworks (nHibernate, Spring.NET, Infragistics).
- Expert in database designing, tuning, performance monitoring and related tools.
- Participates in strategic planning, including project estimations and initiatives.
- (i)Methodologies : OOAD, UML, RUP and AGILE
- (ii)Analysis & Design Tools: ER-Win, Enterprise Architect and Rational Rose
- Have experience in data warehousing tools (ETL or OLAP or BI tools) is desired.
- Familiarity with SOA and web services with hands on experience in component based product design and development.
- Be a good team player and be able to work independently on projects and with international teams to deliver on-time quality application.
- Have excellent verbal, written, listening and presentation skills.
- With strong Engineering/ Computer Science/ Mathematics background with strong academics are added advantage.
Application development experience in the areas of Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain and/or Transportation is desired.
