About the job Job Title: DevOps Engineer Department: Engineering Location: Bangalore Years of Experience: 4+ Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our dynamic team, responsible for leading the management and optimization of our cloud infrastructure, primarily hosted on AWS. This role demands a proactive approach to streamline processes, enhance infrastructure performance, and ensure scalability and security. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, adept at. identifying issues, designing solutions, and independently implementing these solutions. Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure: Focus primarily on AWS infrastructure operations, seeking continual performance and cost optimization. Experience with other cloud services like Alibaba Cloud is beneficial. CI/CD Systems: Maintain and optimize build pipelines using Bazel and Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment. Performance Scaling: Design and implement tools or scripts for dynamic autoscaling of servers based on real-time loads. Monitoring Tools: Administer tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Teleport, and Mixpanel for comprehensive monitoring and effective access control. APIs & Licenses: Manage infrastructure APIs and licensing portals to facilitate efficient deployment and configuration processes. Client Remote Devices: Ensure the reliability and functionality of client-side devices, including laptops and Raspberry Pies. Development Support: Oversee the maintenance of development servers, providing a stable environment for the engineering team. Cost Optimization: Actively manage and reduce expenditures within AWS environments, enhancing financial and operational efficiency. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong background in software engineering and in-depth knowledge of AWS. Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer are highly desirable. Proficiency with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, IaC (Infrastructure as Code), and automation tools like Terraform and CloudFormation. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of effectively collaborating in cross-functional teams and taking a proactive approach to initiate and manage projects. Preferred Skills Experience in the healthcare industry, with an understanding of compliance and security requirements. Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices. Software development experience in Python, JavaScript, or ReactJS would be a significant plus.
