Essential Duties and Responsibilities Daily review of the submitted reports for completeness, correctness.
Correct or fill in any blanks as necessary.
Ability to move between various platforms maintaining required productivity and quality.
Provide timely and consistent feedback to the lead and/or manager in order to eliminate repetition of errors, build skills, and mentor the medical transcriptionists/editors.
Recognize, interpret, and evaluate inconsistencies, discrepancies, and inaccuracies in the medical dictation, and appropriately correct, clarify and/or report them as required.
Should be willing to work in-house night shifts at least on a rotational basis.
Willingness to learn and should be a good team player.
Must be able to regularly attend work.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and experience required.
High school diploma, graduation preferred.
Sound knowledge on Medical terminology.
CMT preferred but not required.
A couple of years of experience in Medical transcription preferably on speech recognition platform.
Should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in working as a final level QA.
Experience in working on Acute Care hospital clients is preferred and exposure to various hospital as well as clinic work types.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Must be a highly qualified editor.
Demonstrate ability to work in all work types and specialties.
Demonstrate quality transcription work, consistently maintaining an accuracy score of 99% or higher scoring as per line count methodology.
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, disease processes, signs and symptoms, medications, and laboratory values.
In-depth knowledge of medical transcription guidelines (AHDI guidelines for Medical Transcription) and practices.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, and style, in order to provide consistent quality feedback to the team and immediate supervisor as requested.
Excellent aural skills.
Demonstrate an understanding of the medicolegal implications and risk management responsibilities of the healthcare record, ensuring compliance with HIPAA terms and conditions.
Ability to understand diverse accents, dialects, and varying dictation styles.
Proficient in referencing, researching, and reporting.
Ability to multi-task with multiple priorities and time frames.
Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
Ability to learn multiple transcription and its related software applications.
