Automation Tester @ Capgemini

Job Description

• Design and implement robust automated test frameworks using Java and Selenium.
• Develop and maintain BDD test scenarios using Cucumber.
• Perform API testing using Rest Assured and validate responses against expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Maintain test documentation and contribute to test strategy and planning.

Required Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Proficient in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Experience with Cucumber and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API testing.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Experience with TestNG or JUnit.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
• ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
