The Digital Project Manager is responsible for leading workstreams supporting Digital & Analytics initiatives. The PM will help develop the project delivery strategy, approach and ensures alignment with the supporting business case. The Project Manager drives the determination and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed. This individual will help develop communication plans and interface with matrix teams, IT leadership, business leadership, and external vendors/partners to execute on responsibilities.
Responsible for overall project management, planning, tracking and building project teams
Drive resolution to project level issues
Ensures risks are identified and mitigation/contingency plans are created
Facilitates prioritization of business needs, managing expectation of business and IT partners
Proactively builds and manages strategic relationships with business partners to optimize business performance and results
Responsible to report Project Status
Supports Project Quality Review meetings with senior leaders
Authors Business Project Review when required
The Project Manager has the responsibility to unite, manage, and lead the multiple project teams within the program that will result in achieving the desired business outcome. The ideal candidate will have the following background and skills in order to effectively meet the role expectations:
Proven track record of successfully delivering other projects of similar scale and complexity
Experienced in all aspects of hands-on project management for a variety of different types of projects including an emphasis on initiatives with large-scale IT or application development components
Possess strong written and oral communication abilities
Proficient in the practical application of the Agile Methodology
Ability to quickly understand key aspects of CIGNAs systems and applications as they relate to business functions
Ability to quickly understand the complexities of model development and analytics
Experienced in reporting project status to executive management
Ability to effectively partner with matrix organizations to coordinate and manage project activities
Candidates must possess knowledge and practical expertise in both the use of Project Management methodologies and tools as well as SDLC methodologies and tools
A Bachelors in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related fields
Qualified candidates will typically have 3 years of IT and business/industry work experience and 3+ years managing mid-scale to large-scale projects
