The Job The company is looking for a R&D asnd design head who can upgarde the existing machines to more modern, automatic and robotic applications and also dfevelop new designs for a. more competitive standing in the market. This position reports to the Managing Director and will lead a team of 5-6 engineers. Overall Purpose/Objective This position will be responsible for conceptual Designing, drafting and implementing new projects and overseeing the development, upgradation of existing machines Key Responsibilities To lead the team of engineering design Conceptual designing and execution of new products as well as upgradation of existing machineries. To provide robotic and automation solutions to the packing machines as per the requirement of customer. To prepare conceptual Layout and GA drawings. Prepare engineering drawings with proper dimensions & apply correct GD&T. Prepare Bill of materials, generate engineering change notes. To update timely & maintain design records. Select proper bought-out components like bearings, gearboxes, mechanical components etc. Sound knowledge on engineering materials, treatments etc. Machine problem solving skill & co-ordinate with various departments, vendors, customers etc. Perform the tasks assigned time to time from management External Interface Customers (if required to see the site location) Co-ordination with external consultant Minimum Qualification BE Mechanical Minimum Experience 15-23 years Special Skills/Attributes Must have hands on experience in machine manufacturing industries like packaging, pharma, SPM etc. Knowledge of softwares like Staad Pro, Solidworks, CAD Planning Automation knowledge Robotics, servo motors / gantry / robotics arm / hydraulics
