A leading supermarket chain in Chennai is embarking on a digital transformation journey to enhance its online presence, optimize operations, and deliver seamless omnichannel experiences to its customers. As part of this initiative, we are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the development of our e-commerce platform and drive innovation across the organization. Responsibilities Digital Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with the business objectives of the supermarket chain, focusing on building a robust e-commerce platform and implementing omnichannel solutions. Team Building and Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a talented team of software engineers, web developers, and IT professionals to drive the development and implementation of digital solutions. Omnichannel Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement omnichannel capabilities, including click-and-collect, in-store pickup, and seamless integration between online and offline shopping channels. Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in e-commerce, retail, and digital marketing to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and compliance standards to protect customer data, ensure transaction integrity, and maintain regulatory compliance in accordance with industry standards. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a focus on e-commerce, digital transformation, and omnichannel retail. Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale e-commerce projects from conception to implementation, preferably in the retail sector. Strong technical background with expertise in web development, mobile app development, cloud computing, and enterprise architecture. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, preferably within the retail or consumer goods industry. Ability to thrive in ambiguity and navigate complex organizational challenges with creativity and resilience. Knowledge of local market dynamics and consumer behavior in Chennai would be a plus
