Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Publish applications on Google Play Store and manage the release cycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in Android development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with Jetpack components, Room, LiveData, and ViewModel.
- Familiarity with MVVM, MVP, or other architecture patterns.
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (Retrofit, Glide/Picasso, Firebase, etc.).
- Proficient understanding of version control systems (Git).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in unit testing and UI testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso).
- Good knowledge of the full mobile development life cycle.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of Google Play Console and app submission processes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions
