Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Team Lead with strong expertise in Java and Angular to lead a dynamic development team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in coding, capable of driving technical excellence, and able to manage a team effectively while handling stakeholder interactions independently. This role requires a self-driven individual who can empower the team, ensure smooth sprint deliveries, and represent the team in discussions with clients and other business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and high-quality applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular (latest versions).
- Be actively involved in coding and code reviews, ensuring high standards and adherence to best practices.
- Drive architecture and design decisions in alignment with business and technical objectives.
- Guide the team in solving technical challenges and optimizing performance.
Team Management
- Manage a cross-functional team of developers, ensuring clear task distribution, sprint planning, and timely delivery.
- Mentor and empower the team, encouraging ownership, growth, and upskilling.
- Foster a collaborative, transparent, and accountable team culture.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Manage and clarify requirements, scope discussions, and priorities from the client side.
- Handle technical queries confidently and provide solutions or estimates as needed.
- Represent the team in status meetings, demos, and technical discussions.
Ownership & Independence
- Work independently in driving initiatives from design to production.
- Take full ownership of the teams deliverables, quality, and adherence to timelines.
- Proactively identify risks, blockers, and areas for improvement.
Key Skills & Experience:
10-17 years of total experience in software development, with at least 23 years in a team lead role.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices
Angular (version 10+ preferred), TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, Git, and modern DevOps practices.
- Excellent skills in team management, sprint planning, and code quality oversight.
- Strong stakeholder and client communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage technical queries, articulate solutions, and handle escalations.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of test automation or performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
