Job Description

Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing solutions, including both OLTP and OLAP databases, to support business operations and analytical needs. Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS to efficiently extract data from various sources, transform it, and load it into the data warehouse. Design and create data models and schemas optimized for data warehousing environments, incorporating dimensional modeling techniques such as star and snowflake schema. Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure timely and accurate data delivery to the data warehouse. Create visually compelling reports and dashboards using PowerBI or similar tools to provide insights into key business metrics derived from the data warehouse. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into data warehousing solutions. Perform data warehouse performance tuning and optimization to ensure optimal system. performance. Implement and maintain data warehouse security protocols to protect sensitive data. Document data warehouse design, architecture, and processes for knowledge sharing and future reference. Perform basic Database Administration activities specific to data warehousing environments. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Warehouse Developer, Database Developer, or similar role. Proficiency in SQL programming and database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) with a focus on data warehousing. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including both OLTP and OLAP, and best practices. Experience with ETL tools like SSIS for building data pipelines in data warehousing environments. Proficiency in PowerBI or similar business intelligence tools for report/dashboard development based on data warehouse data. Solid understanding of data modeling techniques specific to data warehousing environments, such as dimensional modeling and schema design. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly in optimizing data warehouse performance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus
