We are urgently looking for a Database Developer & Administrator to join our team in Mumbai (Dadar) and complement the efforts of an innovative, rapidly growing internet company.
Key Skills :-
Strong Expertise in MySQL Database Designing, Architecture & Development
Strong Expertise in MySQL Database Administration
Knowledge of Apache SOLR is a plus
Knowledge of NOSQL Database like Redis is a plus
Knowledge of database tools & performance tuning
Strong knowledge of queries
Job Description :-
1) You will be primarily responsible for the analysis, design and development of MySQL Code (tables, indexes, constraints, queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, etc) as part of product development.
2) Knowledge of Apache Solr and NoSQL database (Redis) would be a Huge Plus.
3) Responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.
4) Strong expertise in writing Code (tables, indexes, constraints, queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, etc) and maintenance of existing code.
5) Work closely with other developers (web & app) by creating and optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary and establishing best practices.
6) Demonstrates expert knowledge of Query optimization, Performance tuning, and database design.
7) Having a product development background & experience with large databases. Experience of developing the backbone of large scalable consumer facing apps & websites.
8) Bring marked improvements in the database layer with respect to design, performance, and database documentation.
9) Have a devops attitude, you're a full stack developer who enjoys taking up all parts of the software development processes: from requirements gathering to technical analysis, coding, unit testing and deploying.
10) Must be able to perform DB installs, upgrades, and patch application. As well as third-party tool installation and configuration.
11) Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc. as needed.
12) Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary.
13) Analyze and provide recommendations on application logic and interfaces to improve database performance, capacity, and availability.
14) Identify opportunities to optimize application data models for performance, manageability, scalability and availability.
15) Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing the same.
16) Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases.
17) Documenting, establishing and evangelizing best practices within the Development team.
18) Strong troubleshooting skills with regards to database issues.
19) Knowledge of Database Administration is a huge plus.
20) Strong analytical and excellent troubleshooting skills.
21) Technical writing skills, ability to translate complex maters in a simple, comprehensible format.
22) Maintains accurate and up to date documentation.
23) Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
24) Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as SVN/Git.
