Job Description

: We are currently seeking a highly experienced Safety Officer to join our team at a managerial level. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a safety officer role within the manufacturing industry and must possess an RLI (Regional Labour Institute) diploma. As a Safety Officer Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and other safety incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports and safety training records.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to workplace safety.
• Lead safety committee meetings and provide guidance to departmental safety representatives.
• Conduct safety drills and emergency response training exercises as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees.

Qualifications:

• RLI(Regional Labour Institute) diploma or equivalent certification in occupational health and safety.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proven track record of implementing effective safety programs and initiatives.
