Job Description
VMware & Network Administrator Design, deploy, configure, and manage VMware vSphere infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines. Implement and maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions for VMware environment. Monitor system performance and capacity, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and optimize resource utilization. Plan and execute software upgrades, patches, and migrations in accordance with best practices and company policies. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate VMware infrastructure with storage, networking, and other systems. Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures, configuration guides, and technical diagrams. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems. Stay current with VMware technologies, industry trends, and best practices to recommend improvements and enhancements. Design, implement. and manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Configure and optimize network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and QoS. Monitor network performance, analyze network traffic, and troubleshoot network-related issues (Tool such as PRTG,Wireshark,etc) Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with systems, applications, and services. Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Provide technical guidance and support to junior network staff and other IT teams as needed. Stay current with networking technologies, industry standards, and best practices to recommend improvements and enhancements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 8+ years of combined experience as a VMware Administrator and Network Engineer in a Mid or large enterprise environment. Expertise in VMware vSphere, including installation, configuration, and administration. Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts, VMware technologies, and best practices. Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting in a complex environment. Proficiency in networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and security. Solid understanding of network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN appliances. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. VMware and networking certifications such as VCP (VMware Certified Professional), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), or equivalent are highly desired
