Job Description

Actively hiring Database Management Specialist Work Location : Bengaluru ( Work from Office strictly) Work Experience : Min. 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred Roles and Responsibilities:- Database Administration: Manage and maintain databases to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Monitor database performance and optimize as necessary. Implement and maintain database backup and recovery procedures. Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as index rebuilds, database reorganizations, and statistics updates. Database Design and Development: Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas. Create and maintain database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers. Assist in the development of database-related applications and tools. Data Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce data security policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR. HIPAA, etc. Monitor database access and audit database activity. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Optimize SQL queries and database configurations for improved performance. Conduct capacity planning and recommend hardware upgrades as needed. Database Upgrades and Migrations: Plan and execute database upgrades and migrations. Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth transition. Test and validate changes in a staging environment before deployment to production. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role. Strong knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Mongo dB etc. Proficiency in SQL and database design principles. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization. Familiarity with data security and compliance regulations. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus
