Job Description
Job Title: AS400 Developer
Location: Coimbatore / Kochi / Bengaluru
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled AS400 Developer with 3-9 years of experience in Mainframe development. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in AS400 development and be well-versed in COBOL. Knowledge of CACS and RPG (reports) is a plus. This role involves working on development activities with a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and banking concepts, particularly collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications on the AS400 platform.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Understand and implement banking concepts in development activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Utilize COBOL for development tasks.
- Leverage knowledge of CACS and RPG (reports) as needed.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AS400 applications.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3 years -9 years of experience in Mainframe development.
- Prior experience with AS400 development.
- Proficiency in COBOL.
- Knowledge of CACS and RPG (reports) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of banking concepts.
- Familiarity with collections processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the banking and financial services industry.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
