About The Opportunity The Ellucian India Professional Services team is seeking a talented, dynamic, and collaborative Principal Consultant to join us as a key contributor on the Data Migration Services team. We are looking for. a motivated contributor with strong technical skills in Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL to support improved customer experience and onboarding into our cloud-based SaaS solutions. You will be joining an amazing team focused on delivering world-class, customer-focused solutions as part of the leading cloud software company for higher education! Where you will make an impact: Work with a global team of consultants and peers to plan and develop Data extraction, Data mapping, Data translation and migration of the identified data set. Provide Custom Conversion Engineering of the migration scripts designed based on the specifications outlined. Design and program a custom set of conversion scripts based on the specifications gathered during the data mapping session. Customize the script generator to work with the specific data extracts. Create and maintain documentation that describes procedures, including but not limited to the internal knowledge base, solutions and project updates. Contribute as an active member of the technical team and deliver all assigned tasks with a high degree of quality and consistency. Reports project progress/milestones, project risks, and issues and demonstrate ownership of his/her project/tasks. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude. Members of the team will be required to work/have to overlap with North American Time Zone(s). What you will bring: Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated experience in IT. Relevant minimum 5+ years experience in oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Strong hands-on working experience with Oracle SQL Strong hands-on working experience with Oracle PL/SQL Facilitating interactions with clients. Making a broad impact on globally distributed project teams, functional areas, and client experience Guides process improvement. Proven ability to quickly learn new solutions with little guidance and work independently Demonstrated aptitude for logical application of problem-solving techniques. Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong presentation skills Knowledge of data migration process - Extract, Transform and Load, Unix commands is added advantage.
