About The Role We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with extensive experience in Spring Boot to join our team and lead the development of the entire backend stack for the product platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable and efficient backend services from scratch. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining all aspects of the platform's backend services while ensuring their smooth integration with the front-end systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop the entire backend architecture for the digital community platform using Spring Boot, Java, and other relevant technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, front-end developers, and UX/UI designers, to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration of backend services with the front-end systems. Implement robust and scalable APIs to support the growing needs of the platform and its user base. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and design patterns. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices. Optimize and fine-tune the backend systems for high performance, reliability, and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, taking ownership of critical components of the backend services. Ensure strict adherence to security standards and practices, including data protection and user privacy. Continuously research and adopt new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve the backend services and overall platform. Participate in agile development processes and collaborate closely with other team members in planning and executing product roadmaps. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and API design. Proficiency in database design, management, and optimization using SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with data processing, caching, and message queueing technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis. Experience in Python & Python libraries such as Flask, Django, FastAPI is a must. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes. Proficient in implementing security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption. Experience in cloud-based platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about building high-quality, scalable backend systems. Preferred Skills: Experience in building backend services for digital community platforms or similar high-traffic applications. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, React JS, React Native is a plus Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools. Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools.
