Overview
We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with 5-7 years of total experience who has a strong background in software development and has transitioned into a business analysis role. This individual will play a crucial role in our small, dynamic teambridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation while also leading the team and managing the Scrum process.
Responsibilities
- Requirement Analysis & Documentation: Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and developers to gather, document, and refine requirements for software solutions.
- Technical Understanding: Leverage prior software development experience to assess technical feasibility, collaborate on architectural decisions, and ensure alignment with engineering best practices.
- Scrum Master Responsibilities: Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Project Leadership: Act as a leader within the team, helping to prioritize tasks, remove blockers, and ensure project success.
- Stakeholder Communication: Bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
- Quality & Security First Approach: Ensure product requirements align with best practices in security, performance, and scalability.
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhance Agile processes, team collaboration, and delivery efficiency.
- Documentation & Reporting: Strong experience in creating and maintaining documentation, including functional and technical specifications, process workflows, and business requirement documents. Proficiency in Excel, report generation, and data visualization to support business and technical decision-making.
Details
- 5-7 years of total experience, with a strong background in software development (Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or similar) before transitioning to a business analysis or leadership role.
- Experience in Agile methodologies, acting as a Scrum Master or similar leadership role in software development projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex business needs into technical requirements.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and SDLC best practices.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile project management tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and take ownership of projects.
- Strong negotiation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment across all project stakeholders.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification is a plus.
- Experience working in small teams or startups where flexibility and leadership are required.
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud-native development is a plus.
