Job Description

Cognizant is looking for an exceptionally talented marketeer to join our team and lead field marketing for the Communications (COMMs) business. The candidate must translate Cognizants growth strategy for Communications into effective and efficient marketing campaigns that include promotions, customer engagement, content, research and insights and public relations. This includes working collaboratively across COMMs commercial teams, the broader marketing organization, alliance partners, and key stakeholders to develop programs that align with business development goals. The person in this role will execute a mix of marketing, content, sales tools, and events/experiential strategies that improve the buying experience and accelerate conversion. The candidate will work in conjunction and tandem with Head of Field Marketing, Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) Business Unit. Responsibilities Develop and implement a COMMs specific marketing strategy that aligns with our corporate brand strategy. Own Cognizant COMMs microsites - Oversee the creation of marketing content such as PoVs, case studies, whitepapers, blog posts, and social media content. Manage results of SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media platforms to continually drive traffic and generate leads. Partner with the Cognizants consulting, domain and technology and commercial teams to prepare compelling customer-facing materials, reports, briefings, and events. Deliver Cognizant COMMs story directly, and via senior spokespeople to engage customers and partners. Align with Cognizant Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) marketing colleagues to identify existing and new thought leadership and other content for vertical COMMs marketing programs. Manage the sales enablement content repository and ensure that all information is easily and readily accessible at the point of need. Plan and coordinate COMMs specific promotional events, and industry conferences like TMF, 5G Forum or MWC. Represent the Cognizant COMMs at Partner events like MS Ignite, Google Cloud Next, AWS re:Invent, Dreamforce, ServiceNow World Forum and Trade shows like Mobile Carriers Show, International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE), Big 5G Event, Network Virtualization & SDN Americas to enhance brand exposure and foster business relationships. Design and plan COMMs specific networking events like round tables, breakfast/ lunch meetings, Fireplace chats around 5G, FWA, Fiber Broadband, NextGen OSS/BSS and Connectivity Build and manage co-marketing campaigns around 5G, FWA, Fiber Broadband, Telco GenAI use cases with Hyperscalers, Communication platform providers, OSS/BSS partners and other Ecosystem partners to achieve target outcomes across the sales funnel (awareness - consideration - close), including hosted or third-party events, webinars, and digital campaigns, as well as the tracking and reporting of outcomes of those campaigns. Scope and execute Large Deal & Account-based programs for large deal pursuits and marquee accounts at Communication Service Providers & Cable MSOs. Design and drive relationship building with analysts tracking COMMs industry and understand their calendar of research. Orchestrate Cognizant's outbound engagement and participation in the Analysts" research agendas and published reports that matter most to the business. Recommend, implement, and oversee a regular schedule of interaction with analysts. Advise and contribute to internal teams responding to formal analyst evaluations (such as COMMs Magic Quadrant reports or ISG Provider Lens - TMT), and provide leadership, insights and support that result in positive outcomes. Leverage market and competitive research in partnership with analysts, ecosystem partners and industry forums to identify market trends and opportunities. Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and partnerships. Utilize metrics and KPIs to measure return on investment and make data-driven decisions for future marketing strategies. Required Qualifications Minimum 15 years of relevant work experiences including B2B marketing experiences in technology or professional services sector. Current/recent senior Communications, Media & Technology Marketing Leadership expertise with specific Communications industry background aligned to the North American market (global experience would be an added plus) Proven track record in successfully driving Communications industry specific conferences, eco-system partner events, networking events, co-marketing campaigns centered around industry themes, big bets and market offerings. Proven track record of supporting complex, strategic deals and account-based programs with Fortune 100 Communication Service Providers & Cable MSOs. Strong, active network of industry analysts, sourcing advisors, eco-systems partners particularly hyper scalers and platform firms, and third-party advisors, private equity firms. Self-starter, positive, engaging, proactive, and able to relate well to a diverse audience. Ability to personally drive outcome-oriented marketing programs. Solid campaign marketing experience from concept to execution; proven lead generation experience. Knowledge of various social and digital marketing channels, activities, metrics and measurement techniques Need to be adept at interacting, communicating, and partnering with industry/account team and cross domain specialists, solution architects, data scientists and externally with customers and 3rd party eco system partners. Capacity to work independently and collaborate from remote location with global contacts, both inside and outside of Cognizant; possess an enthusiastic presence and be highly responsive and collaborative; be a team player with the ability to earn trust and respect. Effective and empowering approach to managing agencies, vendors and Cognizant employees across business units and corporate functions that builds accountability, results, and a positive, collaborative culture.
