Position: Assistant Manager - Electrical Panel Design and Estimation
Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager with 3-4 years of experience in electrical panel design and estimation to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the design and estimation of electrical panels for our projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design and engineering of electrical panels for water, wastewater, and environmental projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
2. Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to understand project requirements and develop optimal solutions for electrical panel design.
3. Prepare detailed technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for electrical panels using CAD software.
4. Conduct technical evaluations and assessments to select appropriate components and materials for panel construction, considering factors such as cost, quality, and performance.
5. Estimate project costs and prepare comprehensive proposals and quotations for clients, including materials, labor, and other expenses.
6. Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to identify potential issues or discrepancies and propose solutions.
7. Liaise with suppliers and vendors to procure electrical components and materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
8. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians involved in panel design and construction.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical panel design and estimation.
10. Participate in project meetings and discussions with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address technical queries and resolve issues.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. 3-4 years of experience in electrical panel design and estimation, preferably in the water or environmental sector.
3. Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design and drafting (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, etc.).
4. Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and control principles.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8. Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
9. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations governing electrical panel design and construction.
10. Willingness to travel occasionally for project meetings, site visits, and client interactions.
