PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The role will primarily be responsible for the strategization and implementation of strategic policy communications campaign. S/he is responsible for developing and delivering effective communication strategies for each key area of the business, identifying, and targeting key audiences. This includes media/advocacy mapping and quality research into the reach of publications. The position is also co-responsible for organisations corporate reputation and manage issues by providing advice and liasoning with the Management. ACCOUNTABILITY 1 * Build and maintain critical media relations and advocacy across print, tv and online media -across key verticals like Corporate & Policy etc. ACCOUNTABILITY 2 * Content building in storyboards & message boards, articles, white papers & research to Communicate with media & KOLs at large on a regular basis to improve organisational corporate awareness and value. The role will also be responsible for creating, managing and. measuring narratives, activations & the impact of communications campaigns. Develop programs of high impact with industry & media designed to generate significant narratives to mobilise information & awareness. ACCOUNTABILITY 3 * issues and crisis communications. ACCOUNTABILITY 4: Design and implement a digital communications strategy in line with clear objectives. Plan, organize and seek for opportunities including media interviews, roundtable and events. Oversee all external media engagement managing the internal team as well as external agencies. Secure local, national and international media coverage for business specific needs. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Education: College/University - Journalism / Communications / Policy Work experience: The successful candidate for the communications role will likely possess a minimum of 15-17 years of experience in media, corporate or agency settings. Exceptional Content writing is a must. Of particular interest are candidates with backgrounds in journalism who are used to working in a fast-paced environment that requires agility, selflessness and intense focus. Direct/indirect experience with public affairs, health, pharma, FMCG is highly relevant. Others: skills / function specifics: an understanding of research, proficient in MS power point presentations" creation, excel & new age creative tools.
