Backup Administrator - Hyderabad @ Orange Business

Job Description

About Role:

• Backup of operating system, database, and application as per stipulated policies at the SDC.
• Monitoring and enhancement of the performance of scheduled backups, schedule regular testing of backups, and ensure adherence to related retention policies.
• Ensuring prompt execution of ondemand backups of volumes, files, and database applications whenever required by User Departments or in case of upgrades and configuration changes to the system.
• Realtime monitoring, log maintenance, and reporting of backup status regularly. Prompt problem resolution in case of failures in the backup processes.
• Media management includes, but is not limited to, tagging, crossreferencing, storing, logging, testing, and vaulting in fireproof cabinets.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in SAN & Backup management.
• Responsible for configuration & scheduling Backups of OS, databases, and applications as per stipulated policies at the SDC.
• Responsible for Monitoring backup jobs, and Ensuring adherence to retention policies.
• Responsible for execution of ondemand Backups of volumes, files, and database applications
• Responsible for carrying out restoration drills and on-demand restore of Backups
• Responsible for Monitoring, Log maintenance, and reporting of backup status regularly as well as Resolution in case of failures in the backup processes.
• Responsible for media Management including, but not limited to, tagging, crossreferencing, storing, logging, testing, and vaulting in fireproof cabinets.
• Experience on Combilult Back up solution.
• Should be willing to work in shifts.
• Should have experience in comvault back up administration.

About You:

• B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc. (ECE/EEE/CS/IT) with 5 Years
• Experience in Commvault Backup tool along with any backup OEM certification.
• Exp in SAN/Backup Management - Hitachi or any Storage Certified /Veritas or any
• Customer & TPA Management
