About the Role :
- You'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this level include but are not limited to:
- Primary point of Technical contact for AWS Modernization programs
- Lead Architectural discussions for AWS Cloud engagements across multiple industry sectors
- Understand, influence, and promote the PwC s Cloud strategy
- Lead the creation of technical content, architecture patterns/models; create proofs of concepts
- Perform full integration of DevOps tools that support continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Make informed decisions about customers Cloud Infrastructure/Architecture understanding the impact of design decisions
- Plan and prioritize your own and project team s work. Follow tasks to their logical conclusion and make sure that everything has been done to the right standard
- Provide inputs on the development of design, implementation, operations, user guides, and training materials
- Provide responsive advice, counsel, education and service concerning IT issues and trends in the IT industry. Mentor team members in technical topics
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies, equipment and systems. Review and provide input standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with other technical and non-technical team members, clients, and vendors to define, build, and deliver solutions
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of full-time years of IT experience; Prior consulting, Professional Services and/or Enterprise Experience preferred. 6+ years of experience in cloud implementation and architecture
- Experience in major cloud technologies including virtualization, containers, networking, etc on AWS
- Experience with fundamental storage concepts: filesystems, backup, cloning, snapshotting, logical volume management, disk encryption
- A proven record of success in implementing and leading large scale cloud platform development or enterprise-wide scalable and high-availability operations in a cloud environment
- Expertise across cloud computing, infrastructure, IT operations, applications, data management, and cloud governance models with ability to advise on industry-leading approaches
- Knowledge in hardware virtualization (servers, storage, and networks), grid computing, internet security protocols and standards, application, integration, and data architecture
- Experience in DevOps, Agile, and Scrum constructs - Developing strategies and approaches to optimize the implementation of cloud resources and capabilities
- Experience in designing and developing microservices architecture
- Hands on experience with AWS Services like VPC, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudFront, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, Lambda
- Knowledge of appropriate cloud services to design and deploy architecture and applications based on given customer and/or Solutions Architect s requirements.
- Ability to apply DevOps including IaaC using Terraform / CloudFormation, configuration management using Chef / Ansible, CI/CD using Jenkins / CodeDeploy, etc to incrementally automate, modernize, and improve customers environments
- Understand cloud security controls, auditing capabilities network boundary controls, and related toolsets; and compliant environments including PCI, HIPAA, etc
- Experience in performing migrations to a cloud environment leveraging tools similar to CloudEndure, AWS Database Migration Service, etc
- Experience in various database engines like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MongoDB
- Experience in developing software in two or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Ruby, C#, Node.js, Typescript, etc
- Experience in containerization using Docker or Kubernetes, preferably in a cloud environment and leveraging Git or other source control methodology
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor s degree (BE, B Tech, MCA, M Tech or equivalent)
- Certification(s) Preferred : One or more Architect certifications from AWS
