We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Data Scientist and Computer Vision Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and deploying cutting-edge algorithms and models for various AI/ML projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize computer vision solutions for video analytics applications. Your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, computer vision, and statistical analysis will contribute to the development of innovative AI/ML solutions. Additionally, you will handle big data, perform statistical analysis, and validate models and solutions for various applications.
Responsibilities:
- Understand functional specifications and derive AI/ML/Statistical specifications for projects.
- Perform thorough Exploratory Data Analysis using Python or other statistical platforms to understand dataset statistics, distribution, and outlier detection.
- Cleanse and impute data using industry best statistical practices to ensure data quality.
- Collect data from internal and external sources and perform feature engineering to extract relevant attributes/features.
- Build and validate models to solve industry problems with high accuracy for production use, utilizing supervised and unsupervised learning models.
- Identify and understand model diagnostics to assess model stability under stressed conditions.
- Continually validate and fine-tune models to improve performance and adapt to evolving requirements.
- Collaborate with technology partners/vendors to build AI/ML-based solutions and integrate them into larger systems.
- Develop and maintain strong product knowledge, staying updated with the latest innovations and technology trends.
- Implement computer vision algorithms for video analytics applications, including tasks such as object detection, tracking, segmentation, and pose estimation.
- Design and deploy deep learning models using frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Package and deploy models using containerization technologies like Docker.
- Optimize models for performance and efficiency on edge devices, utilizing frameworks like OpenVINO and TensorRT.
- Implement image processing pipelines using libraries such as OpenCV, SciPy, and NumPy.
- Assist in data collection, annotation, and preprocessing to ensure high-quality training data.
- Conduct experiments and fine-tune models using cross-validation and hyperparameter optimization techniques.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to gain insights from datasets and drive model improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to integrate computer vision solutions into larger systems or products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Statistics, or related fields.
- Strong experience (not less than 5 years) as a Data Scientist in high-performing scalable environments, preferably with exposure to ICT or Smart City projects.
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Exposure working in GPU environment along with CPU.
- Exposure in building APIs to expose models for inference.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Knowledge of edge device optimization techniques using frameworks like OpenVINO and TensorRT.
- Working knowledge of image processing libraries like OpenCV, SciPy, and NumPy.
- Understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and evaluation metrics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on open-ended computer vision challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
