Job Description
- Shall be responsible for Installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrade of Windows Server Operating System for Dev, QA, UAT and Production environments for various applications being developed by Dev Groups with in OBSIT.
- Shall be responsible for implementing Automation and DevOps practices along with all other IaaS activities.

Key accountabilities:
- Installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrade of Windows Server Operating Systems ( Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 etc) for Dev-QA, UAT and Production.
- Installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrade of VMware Infrastructure : vSphere, VMware vCloud Director.
- Should have excellent Knowledge of Server Administration, Patching - Windows Server Upgrade Service [WSUS], Windows Security and Antivirus implementation and automation.
- Should be working knowledge on O.S. Hardening for ensuring the security compliance.
- Should have working knowledge of Public Cloud e.g. AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Openstack etc.
- Should have good knowledge of any of the Configuration Management Tools like Ansible, Chef etc. and Powershell Scripting, familiarity with DevOps concepts will be added advantage.
- Automation of System Administration activities and Infrastructure Deployments via Infrastructure as Code. Should have excellent knowledge of IaC tools e.g. Terraform.
- Setting up of DNS, Domain Controllers, Active Directory, RDCALs etc., knowledge of Datacenter Networking and Security Best Practices.
- Basic Familiriaty with Linux Operating System.
- Validation of requirements to be issued to dev groups for various applications.
- Provide required support to Dev Groups for trouble shooting.
- Assist Lead SA/Project manager in defining and implementing Lab. Management & Release Management processes.
- Should also support datacenter support activities.
- Preperation of installation documents etc
Expected Skills (some can be acquired on the job):
- System administration and Cloud infrastructure engineering skills
- Prior Experience in Backup and Recovery tools etc.
- Exposure to Storage administration will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge on BIGIP
- Very good knowledge of W indows, Kubernetes; Docker and Cloud.
- Expertise in Bash Scripting
- Basic Familiarity with Platform Engineering concepts, Crossplane & common GitOps tools e.g., FluxCD or ArgoCD
- Strong hand-on knowledge of Ansible, Terraform and Infrastructure automation.
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Good command on Networking, firewall, storage.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
