You can learn more about us at: https://www.illuminei.com/lyf The Big Picture The Lead Electrical Engineer will collaborate with Electrical Engineers to bolster the Design and Engineering team, driving SOP creation, training initiatives, tool development, and project scoping. Spearhead project reviews and QA processes for both Residential and Commercial & Industrial projects, ensuring seamless execution and optimal performance across the board. What you can expect as Lead Engineer - Electrical at Illumine-i: Project Review: Youll conduct reviews of both residential and. commercial solar and battery projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards. Youll identify potential design improvements and provide recommendations for project optimization. Technical Documentation: Youll demonstrate strong technical writing skills to develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate SOPs for electrical design of solar and battery systems. These SOPs will serve as a guide to ensure consistent, high-quality work across the organization. Training and Development: Youll lead engaging training sessions for the design and engineering teams, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in solar and battery projects. Youll foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Automation Support: Youll collaborate closely with the automation team to further automate solar and battery projects, reducing errors and AHJ Rejections and increasing accuracy and quality of projects. Youll leverage your electrical expertise to enhance automation processes and improve overall project efficiency. Assist Licensed Electrical Engineer: Youll provide valuable support to the Licensed Electrical Engineer on various tasks, including feasibility assessments, system design, and technical problem-solving. Youll contribute insights that lead to the success of complex projects. Essential Qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with the specialization in Electrical/Electronic with minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in residential solar and battery designs, with experience in commercial solar and battery designs strongly preferred. Experience with utility solar & battery designs a bonus. Strong technical writing skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD) and electrical system analysis tools (SKM, ETAP, Easy Power) is a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Excel (familiarity with VBA a plus) Great to have: Solid understanding of electrical code (NEC), regulations, and industry best practices.
