What does a successful Accounting - Associate do at FISERV ?
- Ensure Month End timetable responsibilities are completed by due date (i.e., relevant month end journals, analysis, reconciliations & supporting back-up, ESSBASE & HFM loads, schedules for US etc).
- General Ledger expense analysis for WD3 & WD4 Variance Reporting to Senior Financial Accountant
- Provide analysis & commentary for revenue & expenditure to forecast, plan & prior months activity ensuring adequate understanding & explanation received.
- Interco Reconciliations and review of Interco Charges as per timetable due date.
- Critical Review of Consolidated Balance sheet on monthly basis with Senior Manager Financial Reporting.
- General Ledger reconciliations completed as per timetable for review with Team Leader (This to include accruals, prepayments, other receivables etc.).
- Preparation of Prepayments schedule and amortization of expenditures.
- Preparation of monthly accrual schedules for Finance.
- Completion of monthly reporting schedules to FDC/FDI (MRC, monthly reporting schedules, cash flow, etc.),
- Completion of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting schedules and correspondence with Corporate Accounting division in US in line with set timetable.
- Completion of supporting schedules for Year End Audit & Statutory Accounts as required
- Monthly bank account and all general ledger reconciliations
- Proactive in reviewing accounting processes with view to improving efficiency & accuracy of process
- Ad hoc projects and other duties as and when required (as directed by Senior Manager Financial Reporting)
What will you need to know :
- Qualification - B.com/ MBA / CA
- No of years of experience needed 5 to 6 year
- Shift timings (if any) - 12:30 to 9:00 (Month end 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM)
What will be great to have :
- Knowledge and application of GAAP.
- SAP knowledge or experience will be added advantage
- Experience with the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Ability to work with diverse network of people.
- Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction and altering priorities.
- Excellent communication, organization, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel, Access and automated accounting systems.
