We are looking for a skilled and experienced Business Development Manager (with MBA Qualification) to join our Team in Technical Development Engineering and Consulting, Chennai. The primary focus of this role is to expand our customer base by identifying growth opportunities and nurturing relationships for the New Projects of Engineering and Construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Business Development knowledge in Engineering & Construction Projects as follows: Responsibilities as Business Development Manager: Identify New Markets / Projects and Business Opportunities, and Visit Potential Customers for New Business. Regular inspection of e-tender portals for potential projects. Leading the end-to-end bid process, including opportunity identification, qualification, and proposal submission. Develop and execute effective business development plans to achieve revenue targets and meet organizational objectives. Participate in techno-commercial. discussions and negotiations, Tenders / Pre-Bids Technical Presentations & visits to the CLIENT office. Update databases and using a customer relationship management (CRM) system. Proposal/Tender Management. Developing and executing bid strategies that align with the companys goals and client requirements. Coordinating with various teams, including sales, technical, legal and finance to ensure all aspects of a bid are addressed. Manage bidding budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure on-time and high-quality proposal submissions. Analyze and lead management decision on business growth. Identifying new business opportunities by monitoring public and private sector tender portals. Participating in negotiation sessions to secure favourable terms and conditions while focusing on profitability. Negotiated and closed long-term agreements with new Clients in assigned territory. Requirements: MBA or a related field. With minimum 8 to 10 years of well experience with Proven track record of Business Development Manager roles in Engineering & Construction companies. Proven ability to successfully identify, develop, and close business opportunities, resulting in revenue growth. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Solid understanding of market research and analysis techniques, with the ability to translate findings into actionable strategies. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
