Job Description
We are Urgently looking for a Release Manager for our Bangalore location.
Exp - 10+yrs
Work Mode - Hybrid
Shift - Night Shift
Mandatory -
- Good hands on experience of using JIRA, confluence, Service Now
- Basic knowledge on DevOps tools like Jenkins, Github, etc
- Agile methodology
- Ability to coordinate between cross-functional teams
- Excellent Communication Skills - verbal and written (mandatory)
Role and Responsibilities
- Understand the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) and plan the release windows and cycles across work streams
- Manage/Identify risks and resolve issues that affect release scope and schedule
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and they meet expectations
- Handling Release in all lower like QA, CPV, Training and production environments.
- Communicate all key project plans, commitments and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
- Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at onshore and offshore
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and release Go/No-Go reviews
- Produce Deployment Run Books and Implementation Plans
- Release Reporting as and when needed
- Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
- Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
- Work with release engineers/DevOps team to understand impacts of branches and code merges
- Maintains the release schedule for all work streams and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
- Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
- Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
- Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release activities
- Maintains a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, notification lists, Runbooks
- Should have experience of leading a 4 to 5 member team
