Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Review Product requirements / User stories, Design specifications and provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Derive/Design Test Plan/Test Scenarios and Test Cases and ensure overall test coverage for the Feature/Functionality
- Design, and develop Selenium based UI Automation with BDD framework and REST API Automation, as well as enhance the existing automation scripts using the In-house Automation Framework using JAVA
- Hands-on Git, Jenkins/Bamboo, CI/CD, Extent Reports, Report Portal
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
- Able to quickly ramp up and deliver results independently
- Pro-actively Perform thorough Regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Preferred candidate profile
- UI and API Automation in Java
- Rest Assured, TestNG, Selenium, Selenium Grid, PostManNewman, Cucumber
- Microservices, dockerscontainersK8s
- Extent Reports, Report Portal
- Git, Maven, JenkinsBamboo
- Additional Skillset: Python, PyTest
- Proven 5 to 8 yrs of experience in Test Automation & Manual Testing of Web Applications (SaaS).
- Strong hands-on experience with Test Automation using Java, REST Assured, Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber.
- Hands-on Git, Jenkins/Bamboo, CI/CD, Extent Reports, Report Portal
- Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, tools and processes, including Agile/Scrum Release Process
- Strong knowledge of Virtualization, Cloud and data protection domain (Backup and data protection)
- Derive the Automation execution plan on Microservices like Dockers/Containers
- Derive/Define Automation test plan for Performance, Load, Scale and Security testing for SaaS based Application, Execute, analyze, and derive the significance of the test results.
- Enhance/simplify the existing Automation by adding new strategies, techniques, and industry-standard tools
- Derive the Automation plan for integration, regression tests to reduce the release cycle for the new/existing products
- Derive and execute Automation Test Plan/Strategy for each release and drive the automation to increase overall Test Execution efficiency.
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience in Design/Implementation of Test Automation Framework is a plus.
- BE/BTech Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
