Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating and adapting systems & procedures with a view to ensure smooth functioning of finance & accounting operations across the organization.
  • Supervising the preparation of MIS reports to provide feedback to top management on financial performance viz, fund management, cost control, credit control, profitability, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Designing and implementing accounting systems & procedures; supervising the timely preparation of statutory books of accounts and finalization of accounts under IND-AS, ensuring compliance with stock exchange regulations, and internal audit functions.
  • Establishing strategic cost management systems / techniques for determining product costs; monitoring various overheads and achieving maximum cost control in operations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support strategic planning.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts department, including supervision of accounting staff.
  • Monitoring business and financial performance through MIS and reporting, computing and depositing advance tax with the government, and driving continuous improvement of financial report.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Preparation & Filing of Income Tax Returns, Sales Tax Returns, Excise Dept. Returns, Service Tax Returns, GST Returns.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant.
  • Minimum 15-20 years of progressive experience in public limited listed companies for accounting and finance roles, with a focus on IND AS.
  • Proven experience in managing a team of accounting professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
