Job Description
- Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI integrated with GCP. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Deployment Manager. Optimize system performance and ensure the reliability of cloud services by leveraging GCP monitoring and logging tools. Implement and maintain containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE). Automate scaling, backups, and disaster recovery strategies in GCP. Provide expert advice on cloud architecture, cost optimization, security, and best practices for deployment. Ensure secure access to infrastructure using IAM (Identity and Access Management) and other security tools. Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated infrastructure management into their software development lifecycle. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GCP resources, networking, storage, and security. Stay up to date with new GCP features and industry best practices to continually improve infrastructure management. Required Skills and Experience: Strong experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer, with extensive hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or Ansible. Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE). Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI). Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for automating processes. Hands-on experience with GCP services including but not limited to Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Cloud Functions. Solid understanding of cloud security, including IAM roles and policies, VPNs, firewalls, and best practices. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills to identify and resolve issues across cloud environments. Experience with cloud monitoring tools like Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, or other similar tools. Familiarity with cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure. Desired Skills: Experience in multi-cloud environments, particularly with AWS or Azure. Knowledge of serverless computing (e.g., Cloud Functions, Cloud Run). Familiarity with microservices architectures and API management. Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices. Certification in Google Cloud (GCP), such as Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer or Google Cloud Architect, is a plus.
