The induction of the AW 139 Helicopter in the countries offshore is in line with the company's aspiration to be a force multiplier for the Oil Industry, as India goes further and deeper into the seas in its Exploration & Production endeavor. HCPL is the only Helicopter Company in India, operating FOUR different types of Medium Twin-Engine Helicopters Viz AW 139, BELL. 412, AS365N3 and Airbus H145. Job description We are looking for a Deputy Chief of Engineering for Mumbai- Vile Parle location. Qualification: B1.3 and Cat C AME License holder at least 15 Years Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is advantageous. (preferably with AME experience) Extensive experience in helicopter engineering, including design, development, and maintenance. Work Experience: Minimum 20 years of experience in aviation industry preferable, helicopter maintenance and administration. 5 to 7 years at Senior Management Level of Mid-Size Limited Company with a turnover of 100 Cr+ Reporting to: Chief of Engineering Sectors: Aviation, Service, Manufacturing, FMCG (Aviation Preferred) Duties & Responsibilities: The Deputy Chief of Engineering is responsible for all company fleet helicopters, inclusive of resource management, technical management and administrative management in compliance with established and approved company and regulatory standards. Any corrective action resulting from the quality compliance monitoring of organizations maintenance and quality procedures (CAR-145.65(c) refers) through approved post holders. Advise Accountable Manager/ Chief of Engineering for appointment and provision of staff appropriately qualified to meet the organization and airworthiness authorities requirement. Ensure optimum utilization of all technical and engineering resources (men and material) to achieve best in class and safe maintenance practices. Ensure that all maintenance personnel are trained to meet the Engineering task, the continuation training program upgrades and skills to match changes in task. Review accident and incident reports and take action where necessary and form the part of PIB in consultation with approved post holders. Liaison with OEMs & authorized agencies on all issues of spares availability (new spares, repair, overhaul, exchange & warranty) and to ensure that the organization is appropriately approved. Prepare and develop annual budget engineering and maintenance. Establish high personal standards to comply with CAR, achieve operational, safety attributes and to comply with industry best maintenance practices in consultation with approved post holders. Enter into major vendor agreements. Arrange for review of inventory, analysis and material support. Develop table for Maintenance organizations personnels development. Has authority to employ, terminate and give rewards for people directly responsible to him. Evaluation and study of addition of any helicopter and equipment for HCPL as and when delegated to meet its development program. Establish a safety system / policy that will promote the highest standard of airworthiness, workmanship and ensure full compliance of companys airworthiness objectives. Facilitate internal as well as external audit and ensure appropriate corrective action / preventive actions. Shall consult and advise the Chief of Engineering on all policy matters & strategic planning related to engineering, maintenance & related activities of company helicopters. Ensure health, safety, wellbeing and discipline of all engineering staff through the post holders. Reviewing all manufacturers publications and changes in regulation. Undertake any other tasks assigned, from time-to-time by the Chief of Engineering
