Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Windows Administration Management Services for managing Datacenter Services hosted on windows servers with 24X7 availability.
Skills Required
- Windows Administration in Server technology
- Windows Cluster configuration and Management
- Hyper-V Configuration and Management
- Good Exposure in IIS Configuration, Hardening and Troubleshooting.
- Patch Management for Windows OS
- Windows Server Provisioning and Hardening
- Vulnerability Assessment
- Proactive Monitoring of all the servers using BSE tools
- Manage Access rights and folders
- Creating/Deleting VM Snapshots.
- Perform restoration of all components at time of system failure or file system corruption
Good to Have:
- CPU & Memory utilization & monitoring.
- Microsoft Windows Resources, Event logs & critical services Monitor.
- Monthly report on server availability
- Respond to and own Incident till resolution
- Engage customer contracted hardware and software support vendors to facilitate incident resolution
- Work with customer support teams to review & resolve incidents
- Co-ordinate with customer contacts to with BSE vendors in case of hardware failures or involvement of third party vendor is required.
- Reinstallation of OS, in case of OS crashes and for the problems where reinstallation of OS is required.
- Correlate related incidents together into a problem ticket and manage through the problem management process
- Automate OS administration tasks wherever possible
- Implement best practice configurations relating to specific vendor recommendations
- Reporting VM performance status using Native tools/monitoring tools
- Maintain complete configuration details of servers in scope
- Server Inventory Management
- Managing Groups/Domains
