Job Description
Position: Industrial Engineer
Experience: 8-10 years
Location: Hyderabad
Department Industrial Engineering (Process & VMS)
Purpose of the role
Purpose of the role
- Establishes and improves work systems by studying
- facility layout, work flow and work methods. Plans, directs, and coordinates
- Manufacturing processes in the plant & MIS 5S kaizen drive.
- Ensure that operations strategies and processes are in place to meet
- business objectives and operational needs in terms of safety, quality,
- delivery & cost targets.
- Basic Knowledge of MOST-(Maynard Operation Sequence technique).
- TPM awareness & Lean Manufacturing Systems
- Manage the Time study & Line balancing & Plant Capacities
- Drive problem solving to root cause and permanent corrective action
- Oversee the completion of work instructions to include setup
- Procedures, tool lists, operation sequences, machine speeds, time
- Standards, process routings and other pertinent data
- Performs research, design, and development of manufacturing
- Processes, including production work flow, machining and finishing
- operations, assembly methods, and equipment specifications.
- Performs product/process analysis and implements continuous
- improvement initiatives for cost reduction, scrap reduction, yield
- improvements and increased overall equipment efficiency.
- Assists in training all shop floor associates on manufacturing
- Processes like 5S, Kaizens, JIT,TPM, Kanban and methods.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
- Sustainable process Work Instructions, process instructions, Process
- flows, control plans FMEAs, PPAP and APQP are available
- Maintain the routings of the products for manufacturing, assembly & testing in the Navision / SAP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor / Masters Degree of Engineering in Industrial,
- Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering from premier institutes.
- operations, process improvement and manufacturing maintenance.
- 2 to 4 years of lean manufacturing experience & Industrial Engineering.
- Experience with CAD drawing (Auto Cad or similar) & 6 sigma green belt is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of current technologies and industry trends.
- Strong sense of urgency and personal commitment. Computer literate,
- Especially working on Navision/SAP and Excel skills.
