About Pace Robotics is a construction robotics startup incubated by SINE IIT-Bombay and backed by Pidilite Ventures. We are making the building construction process faster, smarter and efficient through robots that perform advanced construction tasks and digitize execution data in real time. Our first product is a modular robot for plastering, putty and painting of building interiors. We have recently received our first commercial order from one of the largest construction companies in India and will begin our commercial deployment from April 2024. The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic Robotics Engineering Intern to support the robot autonomy team through simulations, testing and trials. The internship is for a period of 6 months and could be converted to a full-time role at the end of internship subject to the interns performance and companys requirements. You are expected to work from our Bangalore office/lab during the internship. What you will do Work on designing a. simulation of a ground based Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) Assist with creation of various test scenarios and experiments to test out candidate Autonomy algorithms. Assist with conducting experiments related to Robot Autonomy in the lab and on site. Assist with data collection, analysis and documentation for all tests and trials. Assist with calibration of sensors like Wheel Encoders, LiDAR, Stereo camera, IMU etc. Who you are Bachelor student/fresh graduate with a background in any of the following: Robotics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical/Electronics Engineering. WFO only, Bangalore Working knowledge of Robotics and algorithms related to Localization, Mapping, Motion Planning and Control Python, C++ programming skills Knowledge of concepts related to Kinematics, Geometry and Linear Algebra. Familiarity with concepts of Rotational and transformation matrices. Working experience with Robot Operating System (ROS) and/or ROS 2 Working experience with Gazebo Simulator Experience with Robot simulation design Experience using Ubuntu. Knowledge of Motors, Drives, Controllers and Basic Electronics is a plus. Experience in documentation using LaTeX is a plus.
