Construction Engineer (Solar) @ Millennium Babycares

Job Description

You will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities of solar power plants, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and schedule. As a key member of the construction team, you will play a crucial role in delivering successful solar projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to develop construction plans and schedules for solar power plant projects. Coordinate and supervise construction activities, including site preparation, foundation installation, module mounting, electrical wiring, and commissioning. Ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the construction process. Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards, address safety concerns, and promote a safe working environment. Manage construction resources, including labor, equipment, and. materials, to optimize productivity and efficiency. Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site. Monitor project progress and performance against established milestones and budgetary constraints, reporting any deviations and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Address technical issues and resolve construction-related challenges in collaboration with project stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Additional certifications in solar energy or project management are a plus. 2+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on renewable energy projects, preferably solar. Strong understanding of construction principles, techniques, and practices, including site layout, grading, foundation construction, and electrical installation. Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations applicable to solar power plant construction (e.g., NEC, OSHA, IEEE). Experience in managing construction projects from initiation to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management. Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting (e.g., Primavera, MS Project). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and manage project teams.
