Job Description
Product Manager with specialism in Microservices and expertise in delivering project in Java. Individuals will be delivering new services for the Content Management System Odyssey and also Enhance existing Legacy Odyssey application using JBOSS/Struts/EJB/JMS/Hibernate database.
You will also be part of a team of responsible for re-engineering an existing Content Management system to support critical business initiatives across Europe, NA and Asia Pacific. The core application is being transitioned from a legacy monolith to an Microservice based architecture in GCP.
- Experience of Product Management in a Product Team, and utilising Agile best practices to deliver features to end users; or demonstrable and equivalent experiences.
- Track record of delivery across multiple and varied functions in Ford (eg Product Development, Marketing Sales, Ford Credit, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build close project team relationships.
- Highly motivated and have the ability to operate with limited supervision to deliver high quality results in pressured situations and under tight deadlines.
- Experience of working with multiple teams across geographic regions.
The successful candidate will be working within an agile delivery team building Content Management applications and services. Our engineers typically work with a paired partner to develop and implement optimal and innovative solutions. They will work collaboratively with other software engineers to develop high quality solutions as well as with other technical teams to share best practices and ensure consistency in technologies, approaches and tools adoption.
Additional Responsibilities will include:
Work with Product Owners, Other Product Managers and Architects to design optimal solutions
Working with the Product Owner to establish and/or contribute to the product roadmap;translating the product road map into manageable product features for development.
Clearly communicating product vision to team members and key stakeholders.
Understanding business and user priorities, and technical feasibility, in order to prioritize the product backlog and manage risks dependencies across features.
Writing and prioritizing user stories for future iterations; reviewing with the product team to ensure common understanding of requirements through iteration planning meetings.
Monitoring Product Team velocity and status reporting to key stakeholders.
