Role Overview
-As a Level 2 Product Designer (Website), you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of Upstoxs website, and will be responsible for designing the responsive layout, visual elements, and usability across the same.
- you'll partner closely with product managers, UX researchers, marketing, news and content teams to translate requirements into intuitive and engaging experiences and interfaces through high-fidelity prototypes and frontend designs.
- Collaborating closely with UX designers, UI Designers, and developers, you'll also be instrumental in building a scalable design system.
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced designer who excels in a fast-growth startup environment and consistently delivers results.
What you'll do
- Align design with goals: Make informed design decisions that meet both user needs and business, marketing, and content objectives.
- Iterate and refine: Partner closely with product managers, UX researchers, marketing, news and content teams to translate requirements into concept sketches, wireframes, and prototypes for iterative design, incorporating feedback throughout the process.
- Contribute to the UI across the website: Design and execute UI elements, guaranteeing a consistent and user-centric experience across all platforms.
- Bridge the gap: Translate UX concepts and wireframes into frontend-ready designs.
- Partner with developers: Provide detailed design specifications and ensure design consistency is implemented.
- Collaborate effectively: Partner with UX designers, UI Designers, and developers to craft compelling user experiences, maintaining a consistent brand and user experience.
- Design System Champion: Contribute to and build a scalable and flexible design system to support future product growth.
Who you are
- You have a Bachelors degree or equivalent in HCI, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field, though not a hard requisite
- You have at least 6-8 years of product design experience, with a portfolio showcasing the sameYou have a deep understanding of branding, visual design, UX, and digital marketing.
- You have excellent UI and visual design skills with a user-centric approach, and are passionate about branding, storytelling, and crafting engaging content
- You are proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative SuiteYou demonstrate the ability to manage projects autonomously, collaborate effectively, and embrace feedback
- You are Up-to-date with latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
- You have strong organisational, analytical, and technical skills.
- You are adept with working with an Agile methodology and data-informed product development experience (A plus!)
- You have exceptional communication and presentation skills, adept at explaining design to stakeholders and engineers.
- You demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and strong diplomatic skills to collaborate across teams without formal authorityYou can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment (we're not kidding about this part)
Bonus points
- You have experience designing for financial apps or complex data visualisations
- You can code basic HTML/CSS or at least understand development constraints
- You are passionate about the stock market and financial literacy
