Job Description

The SAP S4HANA Data Migration BODS Developer with 5 -17 years of experience in creating data strategy and is responsible for designing developing and executing data migration processes from SAP ECC and legacy systems to SAP S4HANA using SAP BusinessObjects Data Services BODS.

The role involves working closely with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless data extraction transformation and loading ETL while maintaining data integrity and quality.

• Creation of data model to migrate data from SAP ECC to S4HANA for master and transactional data
• creating and executing load programs to load data into SAP from Data Services using IDoc BAPI LTMC LTMOM LSMW, custom ABAP program load methods
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction transformation and validation
• Experience in data profiling cleansing and validation techniques
• Collaborate with business and functional teams to understand migration requirements and define data mapping rules
• Contribute to the development of the overall data migration strategy including identifying data sources cleansing needs and preparation of cutover planning
• Design and develop ETL jobs workflows and dataflows in SAP BODS for migrating master and transactional data
• Ensure optimal performance of ETL processes by implementing best practices and tuning dataflows
• Perform data extraction cleansing transformation and loading into SAP S4HANA
• Implement data validation rules reconciliation processes and error handling mechanisms
• Perform data profiling and cleansing to ensure data consistency and accuracy
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation including data mapping transformation logic and migration steps
• Provide regular status updates and reports on data migration progress and issues
• Support cutover activities and postmigration data validation
