Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manpower Management: Efficiently deploy and supervise shop floor personnel to meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining high morale and discipline.
- Production Oversight: Lead and manage the lens-to-frame fitting operations, ensuring timely completion of production schedules with minimal rework or downtime.
- Target Achievement: Drive performance to consistently achieve or exceed production targets and KPIs, aligned with overall business objectives.
- Shop Floor Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop floor; ensure compliance with 5S, safety, and standard operating procedures.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Identify, analyze, and resolve process bottlenecks, defects, and deviations using RCA and other quality tools.
- Defect Reduction: Monitor and reduce defects through analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures; implement quality control checks and audits.
- Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to ensure seamless execution of the production plan.
- Training & Development: Mentor and train the workforce on standard processes, best practices, and technical skills related to the fitting process.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 610 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in eyewear or precision assembly/fitting roles.
- Education: B.tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Proven leadership in manpower management and shop floor supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in RCA and quality tools.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma practices is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency.
