What youll be able to do: This is a Software Engineering Leadership position, that will lead the Software Engineering function in Ford Pro Tech India, with oversight of 150 plus Software Engineers. The candidate is expected to ensure quality hiring, sponsor Communities of Practices, drive continous reskilling, ensure fair performance reviews and manage a team of Managers who are responsible for all the Software Engineers. Additionally, this role will also be globally responsible for the Architecture and Engineering Decisions/Execution for a Product group and will play the role of Product group Anchor. In that role, the candidate is expected to provide Technology Leadership to 7 to 10 product teams, ensure technology roadmap addresses critical business outcomes and achieve Product KPIs impacting business outcomes. The minimum qualifications we seek: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field Masters degree desirable Experience 8+ years with progressive. responsibilities in Software Engineering, Architecture and Agile Framework Must be able to operationalize and assist teams with abstract technology concepts, competent on cloud/digital platforms/consumer ready internet platforms Strong communication, collaborative, and influencing skills, strong executive presence to face off to CTO. Demonstrated ability to drive development of highly technical technology services/APIs and capabilities Experience with Lean methodology & eXtreme Programming Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision making in a rapidly changing environment What youll be able to do: Role: Provides the technical direction for the product group by guiding teams to build and deliver foundational cloud capabilities Works closely with the Product Group Managers to include continuous technical improvement in the Product Group roadmap Collaborates with other Engineering Managers to reduce complexity across the portfolio, enhance interoperability between services, and make key design decisions across the portfolio Clearly communicate technology strategy and vision to team members and internal and external stakeholders Provide thought leadership for the development, structure, technology, and tools used within Ford Pro Design and deliver industry-leading products and services to maximize value and productivity for commercial customers
