Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing solutions tailored for high-temperature applications, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety. You will play a key role in conceptualizing, designing, and optimizing systems and components to withstand extreme temperatures and harsh operating conditions. Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives for high-temperature applications. Conceptualize, design, and develop components, systems, and equipment capable of withstanding high temperatures, thermal stresses, and harsh environments. Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design concepts and optimize performance. Select appropriate materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes to ensure compatibility with high-temperature requirements and durability. Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and. assembly. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate design concepts and identify potential issues or challenges. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to procure materials and components for prototype development and testing. Lead prototype fabrication, testing, and validation activities, analyzing test results and making design improvements as necessary. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Master's degree or specialization in high-temperature engineering is preferred. 5+ years of experience in engineering design, with a focus on high-temperature applications. Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and material properties relevant to high-temperature environments. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL). Experience with materials selection, including metals, ceramics, and composites, for high-temperature applications. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, welding, and additive manufacturing. Familiarity with industry standards and codes applicable to high-temperature equipment and systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Note: This is for one of our clients, not avua directly
