Job Description

As the Lead Design Engineer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, ensuring the successful execution of projects from conceptualization to completion. You will play a pivotal role in developing innovative design solutions, fostering collaboration across teams, and driving project success. Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate design activities for projects in the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors, ensuring adherence to project requirements, budget, and schedule. Develop conceptual and detailed engineering designs, including equipment layouts, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and electrical schematics. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to establish project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the design team, ensuring the application of best practices and standards. Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with industry codes. standards, and regulatory requirements. Interface with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors to incorporate design inputs and ensure alignment with project specifications. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, such as process, mechanical, electrical, and civil/structural, to integrate design deliverables and resolve interdisciplinary conflicts. Perform technical calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design solutions and optimize performance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in engineering design, with a focus on both oil and gas and renewable energy projects. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering design tools. Strong understanding of engineering principles, codes, and standards applicable to both the oil and gas and renewable energy industries. Experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing design teams and delivering successful projects. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
