Commercial Client Solutions Team Position: Sr Software Engineer Experience: 5 - 8 years Area: Validation, technical documentation AMD is looking for an experienced individual to take- up the exciting role of applications validation engineer in the newly formed team for the Commercial Client Business Unit and work on bleeding- edge technology. You will be responsible for scoping, hands- on debugging and resolving multi- disciplinary customer issues for commercial client segment and products. You will work closely with software development teams to understand the software design, architecture, use- cases and implementation and then enable the customers in applications of this software into their differentiated innovative products. You will also help in development of critical customer features, authoring and presenting application notes and technical training for AMD field and customer teams. This team is called Commercial Client Solutions team, focusing on defining/ implementing solutions for the commercial client domain with specific focus on Manageability, Security, BIOS support, Specific applications and Validation of the solution. Responsibilities Drive test plan & execution of test cases Report system level failures, drive them to closure in collaboration with cross- functional engineering teams, communicate with various internal departments and customers to resolve issues Participate in issuing internal/ external releasable test reports. Good in technical documentation including providing data and reports to help the sales team Gathering benchmark data and generate reports Skills and Experience Requirements MS, M Tech, BE Computer Science, Computer Engineering/ Electronics Engineering 6+ years of relevant domain expertise Should understand the testing domain and should help the test team to define use case driven testing Good understanding and experience in different scripting languages like Perl, TCL, Python, etc. Good understanding of different test tools used for managing the test requirements and automation Experience in technical documentation Past experience of working with geographically dispersed teams Effective collaboration and influencing skills to achieve business goals across teams and organizations Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal and team work skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Job Function: Software Engineering Find similar jobs: We noticed that you are already a member of our Talent Community.
