Senior Disaster Recovery Specialist @ Equinix

• Create and execute thorough disaster recovery plans for essential infrastructure components and critical applications

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive disaster recovery plans for infrastructure components and critical applications to ensure the resilience of our critical systems and operations

• Lead the development, maintenance, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the rapid recovery of critical systems, infrastructure, and data

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex integrated disaster recovery exercises

• Coordinates with various information technology and business groups to identify critical systems and dependencies, and the potential vulnerabilities and risks that could result in catastrophic impact

• Generate regular reports on the organizations disaster recovery capabilities and security posture for executive leadership and stakeholders

• Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to disaster recovery and business continuity

• Conduct detailed Technology Risk assessment and Business Impact Analysis

• Develop resilience reports that identify gaps and recommendations from Technology Risk assessment and Business Impact Analysis

• Maintains knowledge on the current and emerging developments/trends for IT Disaster Recovery technology and resilience solutions

• Collaborate with technical engineering teams to understand the evolving architectures to plan, design and test the resilience solutions

• Review and provide recommendations for departments Technology Disaster recovery Plans and Business Continuity/ Continuity of Operations Plans

• Develop and maintain Business Continuity/ Continuity of Operations Plans for the department and each division

• Review the completeness of technology recovery plans and procedures for critical technology systems and applications for completeness

• Design, plan, coordinate and execute technology resilience test/exercise with recovery teams for all critical technology systems and applications

• Support natural, human-caused, and technology disaster/emergencies during the activations of the Emergency Operations Center/Department Operation Center

Qualifications

• Bachelors preferred

• Industry certification(s) preferred
