Responsibilities
Architect and Design
Design, implement and maintain Kubernetes-based solutions for deploying, running, and scaling containerized applications
Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are crafted with scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability in mind
Develop and maintain the architecture of automated systems, ensuring scalability and flexibility
Build, modify, and maintain automation scripts to meet project requirements
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools such as Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of Kubernetes environments
Use tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar to define and run infrastructure
Security:
Implement and make sure security standard methodologies for Kubernetes environments
Work closely with the security team to ensure the security of containerized applications and infrastructure
Monitoring and Logging:
Implement monitoring and logging solutions for Kubernetes clusters to ensure visibility into the performance and health of application
Proactively identify and address issues before they impact users
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing and deployment of application
Implement and run deployment strategies and configuration management solutions for both on-premises and cloud environments.
Automation Scripting and Development
Build, modify, and maintain automation scripts to meet project requirements
Apply programming languages (such as Python, Java, or others) to develop automation framework and tools
Implement standard methodologies for code versioning, testing, and deployment
Troubleshooting and Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployment, networking, and performance
Investigate and resolve sophisticated technical issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and performance
Engage in P1 and P0 calls, taking the lead in fixing activities and guiding the team to expedite issue resolution
Collaboration:
Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are crafted with scalability, security, and maintainability in mind
Collaborate with team members to understand system requirements and design automated solutions
Documentation:
Build and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture, configurations, and processes
