Job Description
- The Platform Architect (PA) is a technical leadership position working with 1111 customers, with a focus on specific platforms
- In this role, the platform architect provides subject matter expertise on a specific platform and works with the customer directly to design and develop high-quality technical documentation
- They are also responsible for leveraging the platform expertise & industry best practices in designing and developing solutions
- The Architect is expected to apply their technical leadership, working with other departments to ensure higher production uptime and develop improved recovery solutions and automation, which drives down recovery times and also improve test quality
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for development & maintaining platform specific technical documentation, directly working with the customer.
- Develop intimate knowledge about the customer s environment.
- Act as the highest point of technical escalation as & when needed.
- Work with the internal teams to continuously improve processes.
- Maintain knowledge of customers infrastructure interdependencies
- Analyze any platform specific issues with proper RCA and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct Proof of Concept testing to identify gaps and fix technology solutions as well as document solutions.
- Provide technical consultation and advise on solution design, modifications and best practices.
- Responsible and accountable for primary technical platform within assigned accounts.
- Contribute to the growth of 1111 knowledge base by participating in the writing of best practice and white paper documents.
- Develop effective relationships with customer subject matter experts to help grow our value as a partner to the customer.
- Provide technical and solution development support for sales activities.
- Provide hands-on incident/change production support for managed environments where the customer requires a unique skillset.
- Ensure you know and abide by all relevant Company regulations and policies relevant to the role.
- Follow Company / departmental policies and working practices, ensuring that no breaches of information security result from any actions.
- Ensure data protection is maintained and information is made available on a need to-know basis.
- Play an active role in the prevention of unauthorized access and damage to information.
- Report security weaknesses and incidents appropriately to relevant personnel, including the Security function in a timely manner.
Skills and Behavioral Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of professional IT experience with demonstrated experience related to Enterprise Architecture / Engineering within complex environments.
- Technology certifications preferred such as EMC Data protection, Veeam, etc.
- At least one professional certification (eg. ITILv3, TOGAF etc.), or equivalent demonstrable skills and experience.
- Good degree of experience in Disaster Recovery Design and Solutions
- Subject matter expert with knowledge and experience in EMC Data
- Domain, Networker, Avamar
- Experienced knowledge of Data recovery process including Backup Infrastructure built from scratch.
- Good knowledge of architecting Backup infrastructure on the DR side and replication technologies.
- Good knowledge of different Database agent-level backups restores and recovery.
- Good Experience in implementing and configuring Backup agents, and replications.
- Good knowledge of networking related to the Backup infrastructure and related components.
- Good experience in troubleshooting various recovery/restore issues.
- Knowledge about Cyber data recovery.
- BCP & DR scenarios/solutions.
- Knowledge of Multi-Tier Application architecture design.
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills and communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills to be able to resolve technical issues.
